He's quite as she goes over the names of what he assumes is her parents. He bites back a 'congratulations' as he has done in the past with others. He shares an odd envy of wanting his own parents gone, and he knows it can't he healthy. [break][break]

"At least this way they're not forgotten?" clearly he doesn't know how to handle death well. Death had become to common for him, he still struggled with how he felt for the pokemon he has lost, let alone try to think of people.

"What do you mean for the wrong reasons? Isn't this why people put their names up?" clearly commemorating the dead is very foreign to him. So as much as he hated to ask he was attempting to learn a little bit from her. [break][break]

He is silent as she talks about her parents. Its cute how much passion she seems to have for her mother's work. In a small way it reminds him of his own love for what his father used to do. Though there was a clear difference between the way they were raised. As he stares at her though he wonders if its too much for her as seems to be staring into the distance as she looks at the words. "Well first off you need to remember you're a kid," he knows its obvious but he feels it needs to be said, "You only know so much right now, and eventually you'll learn more but it's not something you can just... rush. Otherwise you're going to wear yourself out.[break][break]

Secondly, you're not her, you can want to be like her, you can want to study the same things she does, but make sure you still make room for what you want to do alright?" because he knows what its like to live in someone else's shadow and he doesn't want her living in one of the dead.

Razz tries to think, think back to things he has read, and little tidbits online. Back from when he tried to read about how to honor his dead pokemon, ”But it’s not like its the end of the line for them? They still have you to remember them, tell stories of them and bring them to life in the minds of others right?” he has no real understanding, all this is from reading so he’s not sure how accurate it was. Salem pats his trainer’s leg, he could sense that he is trying very hard. [break][break]

Though none of this was going to be easy. Death never was. Though he finds the question a tad bit more difficult than the death itself. ”What I hope to achieve?” he questions and thinks about it. What did he want? ”I don’t know… because of the way I grew up I wasn’t allowed my own ambitions, my own goals, not allowed to think for myself. And now,” he’s silent as he thinks of personal questions asked him in the past. What does he want to do? ”Because of it I don’t have hobbies, I have no real goals, nothing outside of just…. Just existing to follow new orders now because its all I know.” [break][break]

God he was pathetic. But its why he wants Eris to discover what she wants outside of her parents. So she doesn’t end up like him. ”But I want to try and figure out who I am outside a soldier that follows orders. And a long the way I hope to help both pokemon and people to make up for sins of my past”

Oh… oh no he’s said something wrong hasn’t he and now she’s crying. And he doesn’t know how to deal with it. His own emotions weren’t even something he dealt with well, it's why he had Salem here to help suppress his things. So he listens, as it's all he can do to help, gather intel and proceed from there right?[break][break]

Though as she goes on he seems confused about the whole someone she loves is going to die soon, and another taking on the world. It's not until she mentions that they’re bad people when he finally picks up on what she means and it's hard to deal with. It's hard when people you care about were in Rocket. Hard when you think they care about you the same way you care for them. [break][break]

“No one asks for these things Eris, sometimes bad just happens through no fault of your own,” is how he starts off, though she is still young and it still takes him time to understand it. “And it's not something you have to do, if you end up not wanting to…”[break][break]

He’s silent for a while because he doesn’t know how to ask about who she means. He promised himself more than her that he wouldn’t ask her about Rocket related things because if there was even the slightest chance she would go back to one of them he would not have her labeled a snitch. “You’re anything but weak Eris, you’ve faced so much and you have nowhere to go but up, but most of the people you’re helping are adults who have made their own choices. Sadly a lot of them bad ones, but do know that no matter what happens you’re not going to be left alone alright?” he can’t promise that she won’t lose people though. That's just the war Rocket brought with them.

He waits until she has something to say. Allow her to come to her own thoughts and her own conclusions. The ranger gives a small smile at her question as he mimics something his own ‘friends’ have done with him. Ruffling her hair as a way to show comfort mixed with playfulness. “Yeah, I plan to stay, as getting rid of me would be very hard,” he reassures her. [break][break]
